Wow, I Didn’t Know That Chiropractic Could Help Me In So Many Ways!
I had a new person come to see me recently. Like many new people I see, she had a spine-related pain that had prompted her to come in to see me. I took a history and did an exam, looking for subluxation in her spine. It quickly became clear that her sore back was just one of many physical, chemical and emotional health challenges she faced. Within a few minutes of meeting me, she said, “Wow, I didn’t know that chiropractic could help me in so many ways!”
Most people in today’s world are like this lady. They go through life with a host of “little things” about their health that aren’t quite right. Sometimes each of these “little things” on its own isn’t bad enough to stimulate a visit to the doctor, although sometimes they are. Put them all together, however, and it’s like dragging a weight around with them wherever they go.
I love to serve my community as a chiropractor. One of the things I love the most is watching a person’s delight as they realise that not only has the problem that stimulated them to see me started to get better, but so have other health challenges too. Perhaps their sleep has improved. Maybe their digestion has eased or they’re breathing more freely. Sometimes other aches and pains have resolved and their energy levels have improved. They might have noticed that they’re more emotionally stable and joyful and that their relationships have reached a new level of happiness. It’s possible that diseases they thought they’d have to “live with” have dissolved or their sports performance has improved.
These aren’t just things that I see in my practice. Health researchers around the world see the same things. One chiropractic researcher recently reviewed more than 20 of these scientific studies in an article that he published. Some of these studies show the benefits of chiropractic in people with Parkinson’s disease, depression, high blood pressure, digestive and reproductive diseases and a host of other health problems.
The bottom line? Subluxations cause interference to the master control system of our bodies – the nervous system. Everyone is better off without interference to their nervous system from subluxation.
