What type of education do chiropractic doctors receive?
Chiropractors are very well educated.
Chiropractors in Australia complete a 5-year
course of university study which is very
similar to that of a medical doctor, but with a
heavy emphasis on chiropractic technique and
taking and reading x-rays.
At Liberty Chiropractic, we believe that a chiropractor's education should never end. Our chiropractors are committed to ongoing professional development to stay up to date with the latest research and chiropractic techniques.
Dr Tony is also a sought-after speaker at chiropractic seminars throughout Australia, helping other chiropractors hone their skills.

What should I expect from my first visit?
From the first minute you walk into our office,
the emphasis will be on you. We are dedicated
to providing you and your family with the
finest care possible. Your first visit will
consist of a careful review of your health
history and a thorough examination of your
spine and nerve system.
X-rays and other tests may be recommended to help confirm that chiropractic care can help you and to pinpoint your vertebral subluxation pattern. We only accept clients that we believe we can help. Chiropractors are trained to detect serious health problems and may refer these people for emergency medical care if it is required.

Are all patients adjusted the same way?
No. Each person's care is uniquely different
from every other. Your chiropractor will
develop an individual course of care together
with you based on their careful evaluation of
your health needs. Also, individualised
corrective home exercises are given to many of
our clients to help in their spinal correction.
Is chiropractic safe?
Chiropractic has a safety record that is the
envy of other health professions. It is the
result of a conservative and natural approach
to health that avoids invasive surgeries or
dangerous medications. As proof, one merely has
to compare malpractice insurance rates between
chiropractors and other health care
professionals. Chiropractors' malpractice
premiums are a small fraction of those for
medical doctors, pharmacists, dentists,
surgeons or obstetricians.
You might read in other places on the internet that chiropractic care is dangerous. However, scientific studies confirm that medications and surgery are far more dangerous than any care you'll get in our office! For more information, click here.

Can a person who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?
Unfortunately, many of our clients come to us
after already having undergone spinal surgery.
Whilst this subtly changes the way we take care
of them, it is still possible to get wonderful
results with chiropractic care in many of these
cases. In fact, if chiropractic care is begun
soon enough, back surgery may often be avoided
in the first place.
Does chiropractic work for all types of health problems?
Chiropractic care is not a "treatment" for
particular conditions. Not every individual
will experience a complete resolution of all of
their health problems once they start
chiropractic care. For some, their body has
reached the limits of time or tissue healing
that means that full restoration of health,
life and function will not happen. However,
even in these cases, with a normal nerve supply
the body's natural healing capacity may improve
a variety of health problems.
Is it OK to see a chiropractor if I'm pregnant?
It's more than OK - it's a great idea! There
are few situations where the spine is subjected
to more stress than when a mother is carrying a
growing baby inside her. Many pregnant mothers
find that chiropractic adjustments improve
their pregnancy and make delivery easier for
themselves and their baby. Adjusting methods
are always adapted to a patient's size, weight,
age and condition of health.

Is a good work-out the same as getting adjusted?
No. Exercise is an important part of good
health, yet without normal spinal function a
physical workout merely puts additional wear
and tear on improperly functioning spinal
joints.
